Primula marginata
The wild form of Primula marginata only grows in a few specific areas of the Maritime and Cottian Alps of Italy and France and is found growing on shady or north-facing cliffs and steep slopes on limestone and dolomite. It has a lovely powdery jagged leaves and and lilac-blue flowers. It dies back to a resting bud in winter and should be divided quite frequently to stop it becoming too leggy.
