Primula sowing compost
This is the compost we use for sowing all our plants. It is a fibrous composed of white and black peat, coconut fibre and a small amount of fertilizer. Some of the slower seeds such as auriculas and hellebores can be covered with a thin layer of perlite or fine gravel to keep the moss off. We usually sow our packets of Primula seed in small seed trays measuring 14 x 18cm. This bag has enough compost for five small seed trays.
