Primula Amethyst Cowichan Group
This is a seed strain of polyanthus primula in amethyst and violet shades. They have no yellow eye in the centre of the flowers, some with intricate Persian carpets where the eye should be. The foliage has a lovely bronze sheen to it. Dating back to the 1950s, it is one of the original Cowichan strains introduced by Florence Bellis.
Great for borders or in containers with tulips or other spring bulbs.
