These candelabras result from a cross between Primula pulverulenta x Primula cockburniana.  This is a hand-pollinated seed stain and produces attractive candelabras with colours that range from cerise-red or raspberry to burnt orange. There will be some variation in the plants. A similar plant is the sterile cultivar 'P. inverewe', from the garden in Scotland where a natural cross between these two species was discovered.
