Cyclamen elegans comes from Azerbaijan where it grows in shady wet mossy places in deciduous forests . It will therefore need more moisture than some of the other species. Quite similar to Cyclamen coum, it has slightly larger petals. which are usually pale to dark pink with a dark purple blotch. Its leaves are usually more heart-shaped (cordate) and not as round but can vary quite a lot in colour. It is winter-flowering.
It is not as hardy and is usually grown under glass where you will need to provide some shade and moisture in the summer months.
