Cyclamen africanum
A native to northern Africa, this is an autumn flowering species. The flowers appear in September before the leaves. Pink to light pink with a dark purple ring around the base of the flowers which are slightly scented. It is only hardy to about -5°C so is best grown in a cold greenhouse. Water moderately when in full growth and then leave to dry when dormant over the summer months. Resume watering in the autumn when the new flowers start to appear.
Please note that as these plants are from open-pollinated mother plants, there may be some variation in flower and leaf colour.
