Primula capitata ssp. mooreana

A lovely species with an inflorescence rather like a smaller, flattened denticulata. The scented flowers are a deep violet-blue on 6-8 inch stems. The whole plant is covered with a white meal which gives it a silvery, delicate look. Flowering starts in May and is at its most profuse in June, but will often flower again in September. Not very long lived in the garden but will self-seed when grown in groups.
