Primula munroi subsp.yargonensis
A lovely lilac subspecies of P. munroi that comes from the wet meadows and streams in south-western Sichuan, north-west Yunnan and south-eastern Tibet. The elegant heads of fragrant lilac flowers in May-June are on 30cm stems above rosettes of light green leaves. It dies back completely to a small resting bud below the surface of the soil in winter. A vigorous, easy plant.
