JAPANESE SIEBOLDII - Plant collection
Primula sieboldii Japanese hybrids - Plant collection
Our selection of 6 different hybrids of Japanese primroses. Plants will vary according to availability and will be chosen from our different named Japanese cultivars, we will ensure a variety of colours and forms.
These dainty Japanese primroses will look lovely in a container by a shady back door or plant them in a shady area under rhododendrons or magnolias where they will give a lovely display. They do not like lime so will do better in slightly acidic well-drained enriched soil or if planting in pots use an ericaceous compost. Bear in mind that they lose their leaves in late summer and will not reappear until mid-spring so don't weed too vigorously. Can be divided every couple of years. When they are happy they will spread delightfully through your borders on their 'caterpillar' like roots.
