Primula elatior - Oxslip
This is a European species, which is not as common and as well known as P.veris and P.vulgaris. It is found in the wild in isolated places in the east of England but its habitat spreads elsewhere from the South of Sweden to the north of Iran! You can tell it apart from P.veris by the paler, larger yellow flowers and the fact that the whole plant is usually covered with very short, crisped hairs.
